PX Deq: Slave Session Stats
This is an event in the 'other' class. The process is waiting for a message during a parallel execute.
Disclaimer
The terms master and slave have historically been used by vendors in database wait events. DBmarlin does not support or condone the use of these terms. As vendors remove these terms from their software, occurrences will reduce.
Detailed Description
This is an event in the 'other' class. This wait is seen at the end of a parallel query execution, when the query coordinator sends a request to all the participating workers for their execution statistics.
How to reduce this wait
It is not uncommon to see a high number of waits if you have a large number of parallel queries occurring. It is only significant if the wait time is unusually high.
